Maths
As you may know the children in our team are cross grouped for maths making learning more focused at their level.
We have maths 5 days a week for approx 50 minutes. During maths we practice basic facts addition and subtraction, counting in 5s and 10s, understanding place value and problem solving.
Numeracy is the core of our maths programme but we also visit other strands...measurement, algebra,statistics and geometry.During the beginning of Term 2 we focused on time...calendar time as well as telling the time using analogue and digital clocks.
Term 3 began with a geometry unit for all Dream team classes and again we are now moving into Numeracy.
